Love: The Most Important Fruit of The Holy Spirit
Being Christians, we understand that one of the main things the Lord desires to do with everybody is to purify us, in making us to be a better and even more religious people. He desires to change us in the exact likeness of His Son Jesus Christ. See bible verses about love here.
Among the very first attributes God will try to impart in us is the quality of love. The reason for this is simply because when we do not have love within our attitude to any appreciable level, then we are not going to manage to reside in serenity and have a harmonious relationship with Him and those around us. All you have to do is look at the world close to you and you'll see how everybody is not walking in the kind of love that God wants us to be living in.
The main cause there were lots of wars, murders, and criminal offenses over the years is again, man is not walking in the love of God within their lives. If perhaps they truly are, there's no way man can possibly complete the various wicked things they wind up executing towards their fellow neighbor.
All you've got to do is observe the daily local reports and you'll notice literally every single day man committing some type of evil against his neighbors. It is just a single scary show to another.
The trouble with this is: man is a lost as well as ungodly creature. The Bible tells us that we have been given birth to into this planet in evil-doing and iniquity. This means that irrespective of how hard we try, we each have only a specific amount of pure kindness to offer to ourselves and others. Because of this, God needed to build a plan that is going to help us out with all this. And this plan was in fact the Holy Spirit Himself. After we get redeemed and born again through the blood that Jesus Christ already exuded for all of us on the cross, we can receive the Holy Spirit on the inside of our human spirits. And once we get the Holy Spirit inside us, among the first things He'll aim to do with each of us is to sanctify us.
The Bible also tells us that there are 9 certain fruits that can be given to us by the Holy Spirit. And so the very first quality stated within this passage with regards to these 9 fruits would be the quality of love. This means that the Holy Spirit Himself can start to send and pass on a portion of His personal divine love within our selves so we can begin to love God, ourselves, and other people in how God would love us to do.
It is not until the love of God Himself starts to flow within your attitude are you in a position to love oneself, your loved ones, your pals, including complete strangers in the manner that God wants.
If more people had the real love of God flowing with them from the Holy Spirit, then we may not be enduring all the chaos, criminal activity and evil there is being done everyday throughout the world. In case we possess the real love of God moving through us, we'd be capable to reside in serenity and harmony with God, ourselves, and our fellow man.
So, each Christian need to make sure it is their main priority to speak to God to start to give the love of the Holy Spirit inside their character as one of the 9 fruits so everyone can learn to love God, ourselves, and other people in the manner that God had initially wanted.
